Cancellation & Refunds
Last updated 24 August 2026
This policy explains how to cancel a subscription bought on this website, and when a refund is available. It applies only to purchases made here and paid by card through Stripe — not to subscriptions bought inside the Melda iOS app, which are Apple's and are refunded by Apple. It forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service.
1. Which purchase this covers
If you paid on this website, PlusMinusOne, Inc. charged your card through Stripe and this policy applies. If you subscribed from inside the Melda app on your iPhone, Apple charged you, Apple holds the subscription, and refunds are requested from Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com — we cannot refund an Apple charge, and asking us first only costs you time.
If you are not sure which one you have: a purchase made here produces a receipt from Stripe to the e-mail address you gave us. A purchase made in the app produces a receipt from Apple to your Apple ID address.
2. What you are buying
An introductory period, paid for today, followed by a subscription that renews at the price shown next to the plan you chose. The introductory amount and the renewal amount are both displayed on the payment screen before you pay, and both appear again on your receipt.
The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. That is not a hidden term — it is stated on the plan, next to the button, and on the receipt.
3. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time, with no notice period and no cancellation call. Write to support@melda.ai from the address on your receipt, or follow the instructions in your purchase confirmation e-mail.
Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not shorten the period you have already paid for: you keep access until the end of it. Cancel before your introductory period ends and you are not charged again at all.
Deleting the Melda app from your phone does not cancel a web subscription. Nothing on your device is connected to the billing — the subscription lives with Stripe.
4. Refunds
Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable law and any refund terms shown to you at checkout. Where the law of the country you bought from gives you a right to a refund, that right applies regardless of anything written here.
Beyond that, if the service does not work — you paid and premium access never arrived, or you were charged twice for the same thing — write to support@melda.ai with the e-mail address on your receipt and we will put it right, including refunding the charge. That is a fault on our side and it is not a discretionary matter.
We do not offer a general satisfaction guarantee on this page, and we would rather say so plainly than imply one. What we offer instead is a cheap introductory period so that you can decide before the full price is ever charged.
5. EU and UK withdrawal rights
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom you normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance contract. Digital services are an exception where you asked for immediate access: if you began using the service inside that period, you may lose or partly lose the right to withdraw, to the extent the law allows.
Where that applies, it is stated at checkout before you pay rather than discovered afterwards. Nothing in this policy removes a statutory right you have.
