Terms of Service
Last updated 24 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and PlusMinusOne, Inc. for the use of Melda. By using the app, or by buying a subscription on this website, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not buy.
1. What Melda is
A cycle and period tracker with an AI companion. You log your cycle and symptoms; it predicts your period and fertile window, explains what a phase tends to bring, and will talk to you about it.
Predictions are estimates calculated from the dates and lengths you enter. They get better as you log more and worse if you log nothing. They are not a guarantee, and they are not contraception.
2. Not medical advice
Melda is not a medical device, does not diagnose, and does not provide medical advice. Nothing in the app or on this page is a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and nothing here should be used to decide whether to seek care.
Do not use Melda as a method of contraception or to establish or avoid pregnancy. If something about your cycle worries you — bleeding that is unusually heavy, pain that stops your day, a period that has not arrived — see a clinician. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency service.
3. Age
You must be at least 13, or the minimum age in your country if that is higher. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Melda with the involvement of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms.
4. No account; the device identifier
The app requires no account. Your data is tied to a random identifier stored in your device's Keychain. Keep your device secure: anyone with access to it has access to what you logged.
Because there is no account, we cannot move your data to a new device by looking you up. Reinstalling on the same device may restore it; a new device generally starts fresh.
5. AI-generated content
The companion's replies are generated. They can be wrong, incomplete or unsuited to your situation, and you should treat them as a conversation rather than as instruction. Do not rely on them for medical, legal or financial decisions.
We apply safety and moderation standards, and we may limit or end a conversation where those standards require it.
6. Buying on this website
A purchase here is charged by PlusMinusOne, Inc. through Stripe. You pay an introductory amount today with your card saved, and the subscription then renews at the displayed price for the displayed period until you cancel. Both amounts are shown before you pay and again on your receipt.
Your e-mail address is used for the purchase — receipts, subscription management, fraud prevention and support. It does not create an in-app account.
Cancel at any time by writing to support@melda.ai or following the instructions in your confirmation e-mail. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless the law says otherwise. Deleting the app does not cancel a web subscription. Refunds and statutory withdrawal rights are covered in our Cancellation & Refunds policy.
7. Buying inside the app
A subscription bought in the iOS app is charged to your Apple ID and renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple account settings.
Apple processes those payments and Apple handles those refunds, subject to Apple's policies. Except where mandatory consumer law says otherwise, App Store subscription fees are non-refundable. Deleting the app cancels nothing and deletes nothing.
8. Price changes
We may change subscription pricing. A change applies from the start of the next billing period, or as the platform or the law requires. If you do not accept a new price, cancel before it takes effect.
9. Using the service properly
Do not misuse Melda: no reverse engineering, no scraping, no automated access, no attempts to break security, no using it to harass anyone or to break the law. Do not upload content you have no right to.
We may suspend or end access where these terms are broken, where the law requires it, or where continuing would put other users at risk.
10. Our content, your content
The app, its design, its text, its characters and its software belong to us or our licensors. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service, and nothing more.
What you log stays yours. You give us the licence we need to operate the service for you — storing it, processing it, generating your insights — and nothing beyond that.
11. Third-party services
Melda relies on third parties, including cloud hosting, AI providers, Stripe for payments and RevenueCat for entitlements. Their own terms govern their own services, and we are not responsible for how they operate outside our agreements with them.
12. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided as it is. We do not warrant that predictions will be accurate, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that it will suit any particular purpose.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
13. Ending it
You may stop using Melda at any time and request deletion of your data. We may end or suspend access where these terms are broken or where we are required to.
Ending access does not by itself cancel a subscription, and cancelling a subscription does not by itself delete your data. They are separate requests and both are honoured.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction — except where the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring a claim locally, which it may.
15. Apple
Where you obtained the app from the App Store: this agreement is between you and us and not with Apple, Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and Apple has no obligation to provide support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
16. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app or by updating the date shown. Continuing to use Melda after that means you accept them.
